This is the most ridiculous fucking thing I’ve ever seen. I’m sure you’re all aware of the fact Season 4 is coming along with a chance to win Lucia for free between June 25th to July 8th just by playing. I should be happy, right? Actually, I’m quite the opposite considering the fact they can’t even post a proper set up for eCards. Oh, I’m sorry… Scratchy Cards, that doesn’t sound childish at all. What really takes the cake is the fact that they’re giving us eCards/Scratch Cards whenever we spend a 1,000 points. This actually sounds akin to Korean’s system; however, it seems the odds have not changed in the system. So, for 50 of these Cards I have to spend 50,000 on crap I probably don’t want or need anyway in the store.
Many of you saw my eCard video series, and I believe a whole lot of you are aware that on many of the items it would take me anywhere from 70 to 150 tries. I would rarely get lucky to get an item under 50, but when I did so it was amazing. Those rare, amazing chances are the only hope I would even have with this new system. Remember in the previous system a 1,000 Astros equaled to roughly 200 eCards (let’s forget the bonus bundle packs for now). 200 Cards was generally a good number to win one or maybe two rares. 1,000 Astros is $50.00 USD while 50,000 Ntreev Points is $50.00 USD, in the latter you receive 50 Cards every time you spend those 50,000 points in the shop. In the end it cost about three times as much to even equal what OGPlant’s system was. I’ve already thrown THOUSANDS of dollars into the system, why would I want to be ripped off? This is so enraging I just can’t describe it.
At the current time, I am fucking done with you Ntreev until you get your shit together. Do you think it’s far to charge us two times, three times, even four times on items and in return all you’ve given us is our accounts and a open beta? Fuck you! Why would you trick so many loyal people that cheered you on, waiting for you to take over? What business strategy is that? The only plus side to this whole thing is I can play elsewhere and now on my PSP. You’ve done nothing to help the servers besides ban a hundred hackers that just keep coming the fuck back. Other languages are still spamming our servers, the GMs are still barely doing their job, and at the same time everyone who is playing Pangya is being taken advantage of. You’re system is crap and until further notice I’m pretty much done with the US servers. For once, I will be saying I won’t be giving them the time of day much less the honor of allowing me to spit in their face.
While this all might seem increasingly harsh, I feel after three years of playing that things would get better, but it simply feels that the Pangya servers are pretty much doomed in the US. It’s just a cash cow for Ntreev, and unless they add these Card items to the shop or some massive update I’ve never heard of… I’m pretty much starting my hiatus.
In other news, I’m sorry for not updating recently with all that’s been going on in the Japanese, Korean, and European servers. I actually oversaw two of my staff members on their visit to Metrocon, which was on June 19th to the 21st. I didn’t have time to rest, and I’m very shortly going to AnimeExpo as press (which means I will be gone the 1st to the 6th). My staff and I are covering the conventions over at 91.8 The Fan where I am co-owner. For old fans of Into The Rough, you can see Kibs’ face as well as listen to Sandy’s rants. When I return from AnimeExpo I will take a week’s break and then begin updating again. I’m sorry for the wait!

Oh boy, what are the Ntreev guys smoking? These prices are ridiculous. And not only the prices it seems. They should fire the people who do the maths with the money and the points system.
I hope many people will realize how messed up this is and stop playing, or start playing less so the crack heads who make the decisions realize they have to massively change things around.

I think I’m done with this game, I won’t be contributing any money to them. The only way I’ll be getting points is with Free Recharge and if that stops, then I’m off. I had high hopes in this game and with each passing day, that hope dies. At this point, I don’t even care about S4.

Long time reader, first time poster. I also find it absolutely absurd how NtreevUS is running the server. At the beginning of open beta, I (As well as many others) were optimistic about the switch from OGP to Ntreev. However, as you stated in the rant, they made a complete mess out of the game. Not only did they make HUGE mistakes with strategic marketing while pleasing players (For example, charging PSP outfits for LESS than the other sets would actually bring in more revenue as well as allowing an option of purchasing scratch cards as an option rather than relying on spending ridiculous amounts for a gamble attempt), but they are also lacking in enforcement. Now we have hackers running around the server like a plague and non-English spam flooding the server. In addition, I believe that the GMs and the company itself is clearly aware that many players only sought out for the rares from scratch cards and NOT having to spend additional (Yes, ADDITIONAL. It’s basic logic and they’re in denial) money. I had clearly stated the expected amount of money spent on the system and showed that it wasn’t a good idea with your help, but it looks like Ntreev is being greedy (And chopping their own heads off as a result). If anything, I’m no longer hyped up over Season 4. Now it’s more like, “… How will the screw Season 4 for us? Not allowing us to sell self-design creations?”. Thus, I am not going to spend one cent on the game because of the injustice.

@Airi: Getting as many Elf Ears as I did (7 out of 8) was insane as it was since I spent roughly $300.00 if I recall correctly. They are basically upping the price and trying to shield it.
@lilboyboy: Thanks for posting the first time, I really appreciate it! I’m not really excited for Season 4 myself, and I’m even more peeved at the responses GMs are giving in the forums. Some of which, such as Loki, is saying that well we’re a different company. Yes, yes you are, assuming a better company who received most of their players from the previous US servers. Shouldn’t you appease them instead of completely screw them over?

The funny part about the different company argument is the fact that it contradicts some of Loki’s claims earlier and later (In different threads and the same thread). For example, Loki said that the system is a model after the Korean one because they had direct connections to Ntreev. Yet, he stated that Ntreev and NtreevUS are different companies as an argument for another topic (Can’t remember which one, but I’m sure I remember this). But the part that irritates me the most is the fact that they said that strong feedback is required for anything to change. Oh wait… Don’t we have a 54 pages and counting regarding Papel rates, 12 pages on the debut of the news, and numerous threads about the issues with hacking and non-English speakers. If that’s not strong feedback from the community, I don’t know what is considered strong feedback to them. >_>;;

@Blazegreg: I tried to stay positive for a long while, I even have articles from the end of OGP that was about having hope for Ntreev picking up the game. Now I feel let-down, but generally I usually am positive. I think a lot of us had, but roughly a lot of us are eCard users and thus this is a pretty big stab.
@lilboyboy: Oh, I know. I feel the GMs are giving us the run around. They haven’t responded in the threads on the subject in awhile either. Oh well… maybe having the three most popular blogs on the Pangya world report on it be enough community feedback. -_-;

@Blazegreg: You also need to realize that there are other problems too. Papel shop rates are messed up, Calibers/Time Boosters cost more, the PSP outfits were pretty expensive, there is no language control, hackers are still running a muck, and now this. I’ll admit I’m a HUGE eCard spending, that’s where most of my Pangya purchases go to so I’m affected more so, but there are a ton of issues not just this.

Well, this is indeed fail. Honestly though, what really gets me is the simple fact that Ntreev claims to be doing us a favor with this new eCard bullshit. (And no, I’m not calling them Scratchy Cards anymore. I’ll call them eCards or Scratch Cards but lemme tell you, I’d rather take the horn of a charging bull to the testicles than say “Scratchy Card” one more time. Also please don’t ask why Scratchy irks me so as apposed to Scratch…it just does dammit. :P) “Oh yeah, you get free eCards….but since we didn’t raise the rates, you’re gonna have to buy 150$ worth of crap you don’t need! You’re welcome~ Keep swinging for the heavens~! HUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRR~!!” Seriously, I think it’s agreed that this is an attempt on Ntreev’s behalf to rape our wallets. :P
And I also agree w/ Kana on the different languages flooding main chat. While I have nothing against anyone against any other country,(I’m not going into detail) I think it’s high time that something more be done on this issue. Other languages should stay either in priv chat/games or on another server. :P (Not my rule, just wish it would be enforced a bit more)
Honestly, with the release of the new and “vastly improved” eCards, it’s been confirmed that I really have no reason to spend money here anytime soon…if ever. I’ll keep a very dim ray of hope that they’ll turn things around…but I know better than to expect any miracles.

I tried to stay positive but this scratchy thing is the worse than I thought.
As I said from another thread in a random forum, the only way to recover their failness is that (1)they should make the scratchy rares sellable. (2)Or sell those scratchy cards. (3)Or make the rare rate higher.(just choose atleast one if you want, for goodness sake) <_<. If not, tata~
Seriously, I’m guessing, 70%+ of all old ecard users doesn’t like this system. And I’m one of them. And I have seen the reaction so far from 10-15 people (all were ecard users), they were like “I’m not interested with the game anymore”, even they knew S4 is coming.

Now for $50, I have Autocalipers + Pang Mastery + Comets + Caddie Skin + Mascot + Time Boosters + Random stuff and maybe a rare.
Apparently the rates aren’t soooo bad, many friends got a rare in 20 tries…

I don’t use points and even I can see this is a bad system choice by the US PangYa Developers. Now if we could make the eCards in Brie’s (Batter than Caide’s) Cauldron or this was Season 4, I don’t think the outrage would be as [i]BAD[/i] as it is but it would still be there.
I’m still playing (and managed to get Lucia’s Ticket on my last game of the day yesterday, Woohoo) but from where I was considering buying a prepaid points card (breaking a personal preference), this has driven me away from doing so again.
Excelent article on the Ntreev forums as well Kanashimi. You have actually gotten the focus concentrated a bit in a way that the GM’s could relay to the deveopers without all the anger and rage some players seem to be doing. The way you posted your and your friends thoughts and feelings on the matter also has calmed the thread it seems.

Of course the chances of you getting red bag is the same as KR, aka never unless game likes you ;D (well ok more like 25% chance)
I somewhat don’t really care about Ntreev and their money-stealing antics since I’m used to it from Trickster. Though I wonder if we were never exposed to Pangya from OGP if we would be in the same boat now. I suppose some of the more mathematical folk would still compare the prices to KR and discover we’re being ripped off, and then one of the GMs would reply with “exchange rates hurrdurrrrr” or something.
If anything it gets me to stop spending money on the game in a mindless fury to get shiny pixel I suppose.

YAY FOR NEW NTREEV!but now im very disapointed,i know that i havnt spent as much as others($65 for scratchys)but im FRIGGIN 11 YR OLD BOY,im not made of money!Ntreev u better fix this or i will accompany star drop in burning down Ntreev HQ

I would leave Ntreev until they have sorted things out. Only problem is I don’t have a Pangya Korea account and the IP Block is stopping me playing Pangya Japan!(t.t) and GOA Doesn’t even have Ice Spa and no one speaks English so… I am pretty much stuck with Ntreev BR… I mean USA.

I just wanted to add 1 small detail the reason you are seeing brazilian spam all over the place is because about 4/10(rough estimate) of the people playing are brazilian.
And if Ntreev does not shut thier little brazilian fucking mouths up they should get them a server(sorry if I offeneded someone but it is true)
I have followed the request of Ntreev and i have told Brazilians to shut up(alot of them speak english too)but that doesn’t work so I end up chat reporting half the games I am in.

First time posting. And as such this may seem a might off. But I couldn’t help but notice the abundance of folks saying “There has been too much BR spam”. There be an abundance of BR players to be sure, but most the spam actually be from the Portuguese lot. I know this not because I be Portuguese meself, but due to the fact that the majority of the Spanish speaking lot I know can hardly understand the bloody spammers in tournies and on the blasted ticker.
The main reason I felt the need to post now is because, unlike most of the Pangya playing lot nowadays, I seem to enjoy the game as it is. Granted there are the dire issues to be had from the now faulted “scratchy” system, in addition to the Papel Shop. But I only frequent this game for the opportunity to sit back and take in a might of R&R. I hope not to get shot up with criticism for saying this, and I can fully understand why several of you be outraged at the blokes from NtreevUSA. And yes, I have to admit they be doing a rather shoddy job when it comes down to controlling the spam and the out of control hackers. Now, I may be able to say what I have from being ignorant up until now of the heat being caught from Ntreev, and straying away from $ items. Those aside, I still find meself continuing to play Pangya.
As an end note, I find meself asking how Ntreev can condone such websites to obtain “free points”. Am I wrong in finding these to be nothing but spam, and ways to get one’s personal information used?

What players made this game popular, Renbail? I didn’t start playing this game because of a bunch of players. I started playing it because it was fun to hit a small ball into a cup into as few strokes as possible. Screw all these items, they’re not necessary for me to do what I need to do.
I just enjoy playing the game for what it is, not it’s sets of items or clothing. In any case, sure I do admit they are way more expensive than they were in OGPlanet, but I can understand that. They probably have more expenses or not as much income from their other games than OGPlanet.
In any case, I don’t really mind paying them on occasion, as I consider my money that I give them as a donation, not a payment for some credit.
And, if you wish to think about it as a purchase of an online currency: The goal of a business is to make money. If they’re making these prices as huge as they are, I can only assume that they need the money bad to run the game.
Unless you’re saying that Ntreev is out to drive everyone away from their game, which, in most cases, would not be accomplishing their goal of a business. I highly doubt the Ntreev executives would allow something like that, especially considering all the good news I’ve heard about their other games.
I don’t mind supporting them, especially if they are running a favorite game of mine and/or they’re in financial trouble.

I think is freaking crazy to spend more then you need just to get scratchies. For me after getting all i need from shop and that will be all. So far the game is free after all.
All i want to say is STFU and leave if you simply think Ntr33v sucks. And i simply don’t think they done anything wrong or sort.
