It’s relatively rare that I post about others sites, but I feel the need to denounce a certain Pangya site that sprouted on the internet around September 22nd. Pangya Nation is run by a name Rain who is also known solely as LittleMissReality (her real name is posted on her site and was used originally in this article, but she has asked me to take it down despite the fact it is free information provided by her). I’ve talked to her in the past about stealing images from other Pangya sites such as my own and Pangya Press. I thought it was all sorted out considering we’ve shared messages on YouTube (because she doesn’t keep her contact information on her site, so my only option was to PM her there). However, stumbling onto her site today I noticed that none of that had been removed, her eCard videos had a strange resemblance to mine, and that she had recently released a Pangya podcast. Let me gather a bit more detail and proof to what I mean.

The first thing I noticed was the images, since the only two sites on the net that add borders to their images (at least commonly) are my own, and Pangya Press.

The two images above are the same the only difference was the fact the images were re-sized. There were quite a few before I messaged Rain over three months ago, but a good deal of them were removed. I’m still unsure at this point if nstarz, the creator of Pangya Press, ever messaged the person in question. Regardless, you can still find these images littered around her site.

The next was content, which was blatantly ripped off from me in my own words. This was the Marine Blue entry, and since then has been changed with a few minor things still intact. I can’t provide proof of this via text or image due to the fact it has since been changed. However, since we’re on text let’s continue to her About page and her FAQ page (the latter of which does not exist). If you visit my About page I’ve covered the same three topics since this site was founded. That is about how the website came about, how the name came about, and about myself. Around three months ago she used the same exact format, but included a picture of her Pangya character at the time. Now she has changed it mildly, but it still consists of three segments. The FAQ page does not exist anymore; however, it was basically a copy and paste of my own.

The next thing is my eCard videos (I would just like to state I don’t care if anyone does an eCard Scratch video) Anywho, it was meant to help with finding out the odds of the eCard rares. They did, in fact, when we discovered how the eCard system worked back in July. I could care less that she copied me here, ever if her videos are a much poorer quality, but I thought I would mention it. You can be the judge for yourself on both of our mannerisms in the videos and tone of voices.

Lastly, today I made the discovery that she has started a Pangya Podcast. Good for her! Sadly, I cannot listen to it since the link to it does not work. So the link finally works and the audio clip is terribly wrapped. I believe this might be where they are hosting it, but I can’t be sure. Either because of that it was too difficult to listen to. About all I caught was the different segments and the fact they used an electronic announcer. Either way, too bad this is the same thing I did with Kibs and Sandgolem on Into The Rough, which will be continued by the end of January. I would also like to note they’re using the same site to host their media player, which is called My Flash Fetish, but that’s mostly irrelevant.

I am seething in rage and in all honesty, all I can see right now is red. If you’re going to copy someone, then make it your own. Someone put the thought into it, did the work, and now you think that’s a legitimate way to get more views. I would like to link to this site to allow everyone who visits Tiki’s SpellBook to compare, but somehow I don’t want her to get any hits. I wonder why? Either way, if anyone sees any material that has come from Tiki’s SpellBook please alert me. This is the same concept if you see anything stolen from SLGaming, to Black Papel, to Pangya Press, to Kawaii Janakya Damenano. It’s not fair to any of these bloggers who take the time to make insightful and beautifully designed websites. I pity those who copy without a source, it’s undermining and rude.

As you can see I have linked to everyone but Pangya Nation. This is solely because I’m returning the favor.

  1. Kibs Says:

We must methodically take her down.

  2. Saito-kun Says:

I hate fake people… I despise them. I can’t believe even after being told to take down what she stole.. she went and did this! Its so ridiculous to the point of saying her life is probably fake as well. But maybe I shouldn’t go that far. Anyways she needs to be exposed to everyone so they can realize how much of a total loser she really is!!

  3. Sheena Says:

Yeah, I hate rippers. They’re the plague of the internet. -_-; We must take her down.

  4. Sandgolem Says:

Well Im not too concerned anything she copies you can do a million times better first. Thats the problem with plagiarist. Just make sure you heavily watermark your images and title blocks, and that perhaps you make your text an img file as well, so that if she is gunna copy it, she has to straight up type it out.

  5. Joriksun Says:

I can copy anything what I want. Nothing can’t stop me. But I don’t do it.
I think that the watermarks is the only way out.

  6. Chun Says:

“perhaps you make your text an img file as well, so that if she is gunna copy it, she has to straight up type it out.”

    That’s not a bad idea.

    ~Chun

  7. cyruz Says:

I’m with Sandy, in terms of quality I’m not concerned since everything you do is original and a thousand times better than that fake ass b’s.

But I can totally understand your feelings, I’ve been in a similar situation a few years back. Watermarks are a good idea. Making text an image file not so much; because unless you use some extravagant font style, deleting text by putting a white little square over it is probably not hard for her since he knows how to resize images heh.

  8. Hinano Says:

lol yea she totally stole & enlarged my images for the new years JP event.

oh well not that ill be posting anymore updates so she’ll have nothing to rip lol

  9. chako33 Says:

Same thing for http://blog.chako-room.fr/ ! If anyone copy something from my site… That person will regret it! >w<

PS: Kanashimi I totally agree with you about copying, that thing sucks! We need to do something about that =3

  10. Kanashimi Says:

Thanks guys, this was a ton of support that I was really happy to see when I got up this morning. :D

@Hinano: Well, now we found another place she stole from. I figured there might be more, but I wasn’t sure.

@Sandy/Chun/Cyruz: I’ve always been a bit spectacle on using watermarks since it covers a good portion of the image (which is the point), but it also covers small details seen on the image itself a lot. I’ll definitely take it into consideration though after what’s happened. cyruz brought up a good point with the text as images. I’ll be planning some sort of fail safe within the next few weeks.

Thanks again for all the support and comments. I’m thankful of course for all the Pangya sites that don’t steal and link back. It was awesome to hear from you!

  11. vEMe Says:

i know how this really piss off… happens to me with some blog and some news…

that´s why i always make links and give all the credit about where i find the new what i post…

We need do that always to say thanks for the hard work of the ppl who we read to (translate in the case of my blog)spread the news and events they announce…

keep the hard work Kanashimi, and don’t be sad about this, be proud =p

  12. vEMe Says:

damn! i didn’t hear the podcast, its a freakin copy of your podcast…!!

girl, we know u are obviously reading this post, pls be original…!!

ok, we know we can copy the good things sometimes, but giving the credits and with our own words and ideas…

    shame on you…!!

  13. cyruz Says:

The idea of using the text as image was mentioned by Sandy first though. I appreciated it but I don’t want to take his credit for this idea.

    Kinda ironic, isn’t it. xD

  14. Kanashimi Says:

Haha, I know Sandy came up with it, I meant you brought up a good point she could edit it. xP

  15. Rain Says:

For your information… I haven’t taken any pictures from anyone’s site except that old marine blues which I took off -.-
I get all my pictures just like the rest of you off of the actual pangya sites. I get pictures from the Korean Site, JP site, Albatross18, GOA and from pictures I meshed of the ones I took in the shops on MY games. Every single picture that I have on their as of when Kana talked to me in the message on youtube has been from one of the main pangya sites which is available to everyone. My intention was not to copy any of kana, cyruz, kibs, sands or any other site. My intention was to make my own site and have fun with it just like everyone else has made their own. Honestly what is wrong with that? Are you saying that I cannot have my own presentation of what I like in pangya. I have not stolen any pictures from anyone and I have created my own work in photoshop such as the website top and the pictures I have on the sides. I don’t steal images from other people I get them from places on the main game websites just like all of you do.
For example Hinano said I stole and enlarged her image… excuse me I got it from the site and cropped it just like anyone can do. Heres the link to prove it -.- http://www.pangya.jp/event/2009NewYear/
as for her quit rate reduction picture I also got that from the site:
    http://a18.ogplanet.com/news.og?view=readevent&menu=event&num=914
    not from Tiki’s Spellbook

and another thing im not a looser. I created The 18th Hole because my friend Pugzy and I wanted to try a podcast just like you guys did. We dont discuss in depth like you guys or anything. We just announce whats new in all the servers just like we or you post on the site. We dont talk about anything like Into The Rough did and we have never stolen your names or main ideas for the podcast. We created the podcast all on our own recording all of the clip songs from the game and the sound effects from the game. I have worked hard to make Pangya Nation what it is and I havent stolen anything from anyone. If using the pictures off the main game sites is stealing then all of you are doing the same as me. I have tried to take off everything that Kana asked me to when she sent me a message. Plus she said that Pangya Press contacted me about this and they absolutely did not. I tried to take off the things that were originally from these 2 sites the marine blues and the other but I have a very busy life and have very limited time to even get on pangya anymore let alone fix a nice website. My friend Pugzy and I are completely insulted about this and we feel that if you believed we were stealing more why you did not contact us again. We haven’t taken anything from anyones site but the game sites. if youd like I can send u the excessive links to everything that I got pictures from if you are really that persistent for proof. and for the matter Saito-kun, I am not a looser I have a great life, lots of friends and am respected by many. I do not steal I create my own things. Our podcast talks about almost nothing the same as Into the Rough. Just because you had a podcast doesnt mean anyone else cannont have one too. I think that many of you here are just mad because we are trying to make a good pangya site too. I spend lots of money on the game just like all of you. I take time to give money to people in psqs and help everyone that asks. Many people asked me if I was to ever make some kind of video or podcast for my website and we finally decided to seeing how you all hadnt done anything with Into the Rough in a long time. I feel that this was completely degrading in every way and I will tell you that if all of you put a watermark on your images… GO RIGHT AHEAD! cause I get mine from the sites! If you have any more questions or concerns I mean anyone who reads this go ahead and email us at The18thHole@ymail.com. Because I would be very very glad to talk to you about the hell I have been through this last month and I do NOT steal from anyone! Go on the game sites you’ll find that anyone is allowed to use those images no matter who you are. What makes you think you are better than us? We are trying to have fun and make a fun site to keep. and so what if we do a podcast yours is better and you have more viewers anyways. We are having fun doing what we do no matter what. I will continue with my site taking pictures of the game and off the game sites and I will continue our podcast because we have every right to make one. and plus just to make all you rude people happy I will put the stupid link to every single picture I get on the freakin picture! How do you like that idea?! So once again I am completely insulted especially you saying my name in vain kana. I do not steal and never will. I get the photos just like everyone else. If you have anymore questions or feel like telling me anything go ahead and send an email cause Im ready to answer and ready to give links to any of my pictures at any given time. Thank you.
    -RAIN

  16. Kanashimi Says:

First off, I’m glad to finally hear something from you.

Second off, no reason to state anything about how bad your life has recently been. I never used how bad mine has been in my argument or my hiatus.

Third, I said I wasn’t sure if Nstarz had messaged you. I contacted him on IM and told him three months ago, but he said he would. I never knew if he had or not. I stated that in my entry. So you’re purely making things up here, thanks for reading.

Also, I’ve stated before that every time I ATTEMPT to listen to your podcast it either will not play or it wraps. This is due to My Flash Fetish and certain song files. All I’ve caught from it is the electronic voice and the way the segments are cut up.

Now images aren’t the only thing I said you stole. I also said content, some of which had been changed in the past. The eCard videos I stated I did not mind (also what is up with the Pangya Music Video comment? Technically I did one in my Kanashimi Was Tagged video, but Sweatdrop has been doing those for years; that’s like saying no one else can make an AMV). I’d also like to note if you attempt a podcast sure, go right ahead, but be original with it.

You’re free to feel insulted, though I would like to note I never called you a loser or anything else. Those are the people who comment which I can’t change. I also feel insulted and hurt due to what’s occurred.

I’m sorry, but when five Pangya blog owners feel that you’re stealing their content, images, or anything else. You’ve got the number against you. To be honest Sandgolem didn’t take the time to listen, and though Kibs wanted to he couldn’t get the link to work. Into The Rough is apart of Sandstorm Productions, a legitimate business filed in Kansas. Excuse me if we feel the need to protect that. Kibs has gone as far as to say he feels you’re my “evil twin” per se. So yes, you’ve been faced wit hostility.

Now, I love how your proof is two images from the Pangya sites; however, the problem with this is fact of how they’re cut the exact same dimensions and have a border or whatever decorate is used. You only two images, didn’t say a word about the Pangya Press ones either.

Saying that any of these sites is on hiatus is invalid, the copyright is still sitting at the bottom of the site. Though I appreciate your argument, I see holes and lots of them. It was nice to try to come forth though. That shows a lot of guts despite not admitting what has occurred.

  17. Kanashimi Says:

Still don’t believe me? Let’s try this little test. If you have tabs enabled on your browser, then please open this image in one tab: http://pangyanation.weebly.com/uploads/1/1/9/5/1195562/7783347.png This is straight from Pangya Nation’s side bar (unless Rain removes it by the time you read this)

Now, open this image in your tab: http://pangya.faithfuldreamer.net/updates/korea_025.png

Switch between both images and there’s an example of said proof.

    ——————–

The images were removed, but I took pictures of them. You can follow the same test here with the following images:

  18. Rain Says:

Problem Solved… Please go to Pangya Nation my last argument on this is posted and sure I accomodated to you. Sorry for this whole mess I really do appologize but I do not appreciate my whole name on here or being called a theif when evertything past since you wrote me I have not stolen. Please got check im sure you will be somewhat satisfied and visit the podcast page too. Sorry to all just wanted to prove myself innocent and show you what I did for my site.

Kanashimi Edit: This entry on her site was removed, thus it isn’t available for the public to read.

  19. chako33 Says:

OMFG! You took one image from the GOA official kit web about Pangya and you just cut their logo! O.O

Playing Golf is totally free, but pick images from everywhere and cut the logo is totally disgusting…

  20. chako33 Says:

If you don’t believe me… Check this out:

  21. Kanashimi Says:

I would like to note there was a large discussion on Rain’s site, but she has deleted the entry so no one can read either sides. Just stating facts Rain never admitted she stole anything, and I continued to accuse her. Apparently she is going to add links from now on. This post will remain up to document what has occurred.

As always if anyone sees stolen work from any site, then please alert them. This is not a jab at Pangya Nation, but a word to all my visitors. Thanks again for your support~!

  22. Rain Says:

I do think it is a good idea to keep this up to show what happened but I would like to ask if you please remove my whole name from this post as seening that I never used any of your full names in anything I have ever posted. I feel this is unright for everything I have done now to make up for our argument. And for your information all of the pictures I found on my sidebar including the one cyruz mentioned are off of google.com search engines, not from sites, as I mentioned in my posts. Wether someone changed them or kept the the same is not my business, nor my fault. I took off my arguments because 1. it is a waist of space and 2. because this problem is resolved. But as I stated it is fine to keep my game name, my youtube name but I would appreciate it if you delete my actual name, or I have a right to use yours too. Thank you-
    Rain

p.s- If I am accused of stealing anything ever again that I have solid proof of where I got it (via- the game sites like everything else you accuse me of)… I will not argue nicely because this was a ridiculous argument and frankly a waist of time.

  23. Kanashimi Says:

The article is corrected, but I would like to advise if you don’t want people to use your real name then not to post it up. That’s basically tossing out information that you don’t want anyone to have (like your SSN or address). You’re free to use mine, but most people will not recognize it on the internet. Also, I’d like to add that you and your fanbase are the only ones who considered it solid proof out of the people involved.

Thank you for posting, and have a good day.

  24. Noijo Says:

Well to quote “Imitation is the sincerest of flattery” - Charles Caleb Colton

Just goes to show your blog is better. I don’t like watermarking for edits if it isn’t my own image from complete scratch. But it’s understandable when plagiarising is so blatant that you have to take measures to protect your content.

But anyway to the point of my comment I suggest using a Creative Commons license ( http://creativecommons.org/ ) and posting the icon and licence link on your blogs. Blogging is a creative form of expression after all.

    I use this one http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/
It basically means you can copy or adapt for non-commercial purposes as long as you credit the source.

  25. Pepero Says:

Not really complaining to the whole stealing issue since that is past, but I’m very curious as to why take a picture of Lucia from my S4 beta post, and photoshop your name like it’s your own? It’s located on your photo album section.

    Example: http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s1/Sweatdr0p/luciaduo.jpg

    S4-beta post: http://sweatdrop.zoints.com/blog/?cmd=viewentry&entryid=6402

Ah well, I lol’d. I even added my watermark on the picture for the lulz too. Well, lesson is learned so let’s move on.

Ah, since you mentioned that you use pictures from actual Pangya sites, then I thank you for the complainant~ I never knew my blog is considered an official Pangya site. Makes me happy. ^^

  26. jessiedragon Says:

Okay, I have one thing to add to this whole argument, even though it’s past. As some of you may already know, I just can’t let things die until I’ve had my say….and that makes me lol.

Here we go. The one thing, ONE THING, I have to say about this, to you Rain, is this and I quote: “And for your information all of the pictures I found on my sidebar including the one cyruz mentioned are off of google.com search engines, not from sites, as I mentioned in my posts.” Google.com is a search engine, as I’m sure we all know having spent our lives, some of us since birth, on the interwebs. The only problem I have with this statement, Rain, is that google.com links you to SITES where you can obtain PICTURES and even more so, CONTENT. It’s not something that creates things from scratch just for you. If I go to google.com right now, I could click on the Images link, type “Pangya” and be swamped with millions of pictures. All of the pictures which appear on our pages in thumbnail form I can click and they will lead me to their site of origin or where they are posted at. All you have to do is google an image, particularly one that says “Quit Rate Reduction Event” and blammo! You’ve got yourself someone else’s image! I mean, seriously, are you that naive?
