I think writing this entry will make me feel a bit better because I have yet to be able to say good-bye. On the 25th of September, the Albatross 18 community discovered one of our favorite GMs got fired. This couldn’t have come at a worse time since now GMs are not allowed to speak publicly in the lobby so they are unable to address our concerns. Whether this was a move to make sure no information would be leaked or make authority less known I have yet to figure out. Despite that, I would like to give my heart felt good bye to Support 014, also more fondly known as Chumpy.
Chump from my knowledge was the head GM for Albatross 18, so to see him go means such a position needs to be filled by the remaining GMs. While it is still sad to think that Chumpy is actually gone, what does this mean for Albatross 18? People have been beginning to doubt the direction of the game, this is apparent with all the hacking problems, many of the GMs attempting not to speak with players, and the ever daunting fact that our server is missing vital items that have been asked for such a long time. While not all of this is OGPlanet’s fault, a lot needs to be done to bring Albatross 18 to its former glory. It seems very sadly that the game is falling faster and harder from grace.
I would like to thank Chumpy for all the help he’s given to the players, how he’s fought for the important aspects of the game, and been a good, friendly GM to us all. Not only will you be missed by me and many others, but Albatross 18 will not be the same without. Thanks again and farewell~!

No matter how I look at it, this was a bad decision. I’ve never talked to any GMs but it seems like Chumpy did an awesome job working for Albatross, with the community. Farewell!

Not Chumpy! Anyone but Chumpy! Oh of all the people in the world to leave the albatross18 community.
I think everyone at OGP and Ntreev are going Loony. I hope things will get better. Still…it wont be the same without Chumpy (or and GM’s talking for that matter)

Chumpy will be missed,apparently fired for leaking info on upcoming items(wings).I believe the new head GM will be Icon(renbail).There truly is no hope;D

But Chumpy was fun, and was most acessable during the 2 weeks of Beat the GM. He will be missed.

I can certainly understand why the GMs would be prevented from speaking with players anymore, as I’ve seen this happen before on other games. People generally tend to crowd around the GM and either ask them for inside information, report people for trivial matters, ask for free stuff, or try to be their friend. In general they’re spammy and tend to waste hours at a time, making it difficult for the GM to actually do their job.
