This is it! Finally the release of Into The Rough’s first podcast. While we have a lot to learn and certainly want to do our best, we hope you enjoy what we’ve produced so far. Running at 26:32 minutes is all the work done within the month of May and even beforehand as the idea was forming. While I’m not sure all that work will show in the final production, I will say honestly I am proud to be apart of this podcast and I’m sure the others involved are as well. I enjoyed listening to your first podcast guys/gals. The talk about the lotto system has always been one of those discussions that I enjoy digging through.
If you don’t mind, I would like to input my thoughts for all eCard(A18)/Scratch(KR)/Gachapon(JPN).
I much prefer Korea’s Scratch card system over the others. Korea’s system makes it where having pang is meaningful. A18 and Japan lacks the demand for having great amount of pangs. The only impending way to use your pangs is the Black Papel lotto rare, but most of them are not that pricey anyways. So in other words, there’s no sense of balance to have both pang and cookies. Only cookies are significant for both A18 and Japan to get the full experience on what the game has to offer.
What’s splendid about Korea’s Scratch system is that even though all of your scratch attempts fall short, you still have your cookies remained that you can still benefit from. Heck, you can be like some of the Korean scratching freaks. They will keep on buying cookies just to do the lotto more. They will have so much cookies that they will open up their own solo PSquare room for the intention of selling their cookies for pang. You will see room names like, “1:14000″ meaning 1 cookie will cost 14,000 pangs. So they can build up pang that way to buy scratch rare in PSquare, while still enjoying to continue scratching in the lotto system. That’s the way I see it in their vision.
As for the Scratch rates, yeah it’s about like A18. Rates are diminutive, but I don’t feel bad since my money on getting cookies still remains compared to Japan and A18. Heck, almost all of my KR Characters have scratch rare on them. And that’s earned by buying them from other players in the game with pangs.
Another plus to Korea’s system is that each passing months, a new lotto rare will emerge. If you happen to miss your chance to win earlier rare, just depend on the community to see if they will part ways with their old scratch rare. In Japan and A18, once they are gone, they may be gone for good. No more going back.
The pang rate in Korea is ludicrously high. If you have 1-3 million pang, you won’t get far in buying good items. You need at least over 8+ million to buy some good stuff from that server. At least pang has a huge purpose that keeps me playing for more and more. It’s like I’m… “Gaining” something for playing the game to earn more pangs. The only reason I would play A18 is just trying to beat my high score. I would care less about getting pang there because what’s the point? Halo and Chao Horns will lose their sparkle soon since eCard rare looks much nicer. Korea’s Halo and Horns are barely going for 60-300k since there are other items more worthy to get than those two.
So overall, I enjoy how Korea implemented the Scratch card system to make both cookies and pang meaningful to use.

Kudos to Sweatdrop’s comment, ive been trying to get something like that said too (i’m just too stupid). Pang on the Albatross18 isn’t really as useful as it is on the Korean servers. I assume that’s because of the new card system but you can always buy a rare you don’t have if you get millions of pang. now to be honest on Alba, i’m flat broke. my highest, 120k. but it doesn’t bother me because i think about how much the Astro Gear is so much cooler (looks and Stats wise) and how the Pang gear really can’t add up. If we could sell E-card rares in the Psq i think the worthyness of pang would rise. For those who can’t afford astros but want an E-card rare, they can save up (till they pass out, or (puke) pang) and buy themselves, lets say, SSAF Uniform for Kooh.
ookay back to rambling on and on… I see now how people have started boycotting but it’s OGP were talking about. there will always be someone determined enough to put their money into the system in hopes of getting the E-card rare they want. OGP has the perfect money making scheme. You buy, you try, lose, then try again. Always until you get it for the character you want. I think it’s not exactly a Reliable chance that some of the important changes to E-card will happen, but the boycotts might help (maybe someone will throw a chair) (:>)
But all of this is really nothing compared to what i really care most about for this game
PROGRAMMER!! Spell it OGP. Programmer! even if your Hiring now or not, get one, pleeease! If i see one more colored Ribbon i’m going to lose it! This game could make some Dramatic changes if we had a programmer.

You guys are doing something really nice here =]
It’s nice to have an outspoken voice in the Albatross18 community. Hopefully OGPlanet will take notice of this and change the system…the curent E-card system, as you said, is really really unfair. I don’t think I should spend $80 and still not get the Elf-Ears for Scout. I’d also love to trade my Hana/Cecilia/Max Ears for the Scout ones, but oh well, can’t do that either.
Hopefully it will change…just even a little bit is fine.
